Bayram: “The agreement of shame will not continue
Fady Mahouly
Former Minister Mustafa Bayram stressed that the current stage requires the highest levels of awareness and patience.
I consider that what happened during the past months demonstrated the failure of the diplomatic track to stop the attacks or protect Lebanese sovereignty.
He added that the forces that were unable to achieve their goals through war are today trying to reach them through politics and stirring up internal strife.
Bayram pointed out that the Lebanese gave diplomacy sufficient opportunity, but it did not achieve the desired results, but rather showed an inability to preserve sovereignty and protect the land.
Bayram believed that the current authority failed to fulfill its national responsibilities, considering that it was unable to carry out its duty to protect the country and implement what the constitution stipulates, pointing out that it was the steadfastness of the resistance fighters that prevented the imposition of new realities on Lebanon, and contributed to establishing deterrence equations.
Bayram stressed that the “agreement of shame” will not last, stressing that the projects targeting Lebanon and the region will fail, and that the will and steadfastness of the peoples will fail all plans. He concluded by emphasizing that sacrifices will remain a source of strength and pride until what the people of the country aspire to is achieved.
